My name is Pete Skyrme.

I am an amateur landscape and bird photographer based on Walney Island, South Cumbria. I’m lucky to live surrounded by sea and within close proximity to the Lake District National Park and numerous nature reserves.

My relationship with the landscape was kindled at a young age and I have walked and scrambled all across the district. I have always loved the scenery but I now look at its beauty with a more refined eye and a camera lens of course.
